2022 Chrysler 300 Features and Specs
Even most luxury sedans can't match the standards of the Chrysler 300. The full-size E-segment sedan retains its distinctive American style, blue-collar luxury appointments, and HEMI V-8 power. Let's go over the features and specs of the 2022 Chrysler 300.
2022 Chrysler 300 Trim Levels
The Chrysler 300 series is available in three trim levels for 2022: Touring, Touring L, and 300S. These three trim levels were carried over from the 2021 model. Optional all-wheel drive is available on both the Touring and Touring L models. On the sportier Chrysler 300S V-6 and V-8, a black chrome surround replaces the lower two grades' black grille with a bright surround.
Although even starting Touring models look elegant, the Chrysler 300S adds an athletic flair with blacked-out exterior accents, black noise alloys, leather sport seats, and special piano black interior accents.

2022 Chrysler 300 Body and Exterior
When evaluating the appearance of any vehicle, objectivity only goes so far. Still, could anyone deny this is a far more appealing automobile than most high-riding crossovers? The 300 is wide and long, bearing plenty of space and a noble presence. There are six color options: Bright White, Frostbite, Gloss Black, Granite Crystal, Silver Mist, and Velvet Red.
Standard features include bi-functional halogen projector headlights and LED daytime running lights. All three trim levels offer a dual-pane panoramic powered sunroof as an option.
2022 Chrysler 300: What's New?
Here are all the things that Chrysler has added and improved upon from the 2021 model:
- The Touring L comes standard with the Sport appearance package, which includes black 20-inch alloy wheels, blacked-out badging and other features, premium LED fog lights, and a performance front fascia.
- The 300S now comes with Uconnect navigation standard, while this feature is still available on the L.
- The top-level 300S also gets a new set of nine premium speakers with a trunk-mounted subwoofer, as well as a new dual-pane panoramic power sunroof.
- A new air filtration system swaps out the old one and is the most capable filter yet, catching 95% of particulate matter and blocking tricky substances like smoke and aerosols.
- The Comfort Group, an optional upgrade on the Chrysler 300 Touring L and 300S, has a new and improved security alarm.
2022 Chrysler 300 Drivetrain and Engine
One of the other reasons passionate drivers value the 300 is the rear-wheel-drive system included standard. However, starting off with comfortable RWD is just the beginning.
The model also offers a class-exclusive all-wheel drive with front axle disconnect capability. If it senses a loss of traction, this setup seamlessly works at any speed to regain traction immediately, even against uncertain road surfaces or conditions.
The Chrysler 300 is the only vehicle in the mid- to full-size sedan segment to offer both a V-6 and V-8 engine choice. Both use a reliable eight-speed automatic transmission standard.
The original 3.6-liter V-6 engine makes 292 horsepower and 260 lb-ft. of torque, but the 300S V-6 boosts those numbers to 300 horsepower and 264 lb-ft. of torque. This engine is available with either RWD or AWD and comes standard with an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. The 300S V-8 has a 5.7-liter V-8 engine for 363 horsepower and 394 lb-ft. of torque, best-in-class V-8 power numbers.
2022 Chrysler 300 Optional Packages
The main choice when shopping for a Chrysler 300 is which of the three trim levels to get. However, a few extras are available. The Comfort Group package on the Touring L and 300S adds a power tilt/telescoping steering column. All models with this package also get ventilated leather seating, a trunk mat, footwell LED lamps, LED front and rear pocket lights, a power sunshade, heated seats, and a heated steering wheel.
With the Comfort Group, you'll also get memorized settings for the steering column, side mirrors, radio, and driver's seat, and a rear storage armrest with LED-illuminated cup holders. The Comfort Group also expands the exterior features with auto-adjust-in-reverse side mirrors, automatic leveling adaptive HID bi-xenon headlamps, and door sill scuff pads.
The other notable optional suite of features is the Popular Equipment package. This adds a Uconnect 8.4-inch touch screen with 4C advanced navigation. It also adds a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, nine surround-sound speakers plus a trunk subwoofer and 506-watt amplifier, and a five-year bundle of SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link services. The Popular Equipment package serves as an appealing upgrade for drivers who regularly use the audio and infotainment systems.
2022 Chrysler 300 Interior and Technology
Starting from the Touring L and up, every 2022 Chrysler 300 carries a heated steering wheel with power adjustments, heated rear seats, and ventilated front seats. The dashboard is covered in a soft-touch rubberized material with an easy hand wash design by Chrysler. The 300s steering wheel even comes with paddle shifters.
The Uconnect 4C infotainment system is standard on all 300 models, and it combines all of the major connectivity capabilities with a simple menu interface. With an included six-month trial, an 8.4-inch touch-screen color display gives you access to HD Radio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and more.
In addition to Bluetooth audio streaming, the system includes a media hub with two USB ports and an audio jack, as well as the ability to respond to voice commands. A nine-speaker Alpine audio system with surround sound, a 506-watt amplifier, and a trunk-mounted subwoofer are all standard on the 300S.
On the lower two trims, a six-speaker sound system is standard, while the 300S V-6 and V-8 models' six-speaker premium Alpine audio system is replaced by the same nine-speaker system with a trunk-mounted subwoofer that was previously available as an option on the highest trim only.
With a competitive trunk space of 16.3 cubic feet, switchable drive modes, and easy access to full-leather seating, it's clear why anyone interested in a bigger-than-average car would look to the Chrysler 300.
