2022 Chrysler Pacifica: How Is It Different From the 2021 Model?

Power and Performance

The 2022 Chrysler Pacifica continues the minivan's tradition of high performance. It has the same 3.6-liter, V-6 engine and still gets 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, thanks to its high fuel efficiency. The 2022 Pacifica also keeps its 19-gallon fuel tank, allowing you to drive for days or weeks without having to fill up. With its 39.7-foot turning diameter, the Pacifica is a minivan that never sacrifices maneuverability for space.

In terms of performance, the biggest improvement to the 2022 Pacifica is its expanded front-wheel drive options. The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica offered all-wheel drive (AWD) and front-wheel drive (FWD) options for its Touring trim in the American market, but offered only AWD on the higher trims. Consumers preferred the FWD option in the Touring trim because it saved them money, so Chrysler made FWD the only option for the Touring trim in 2022. If you live in a colder climate and really want an AWD Pacifica, you can still choose that as an option for the higher trims.

Exterior

For the 2022 Pacifica, Chrysler streamlined its exterior features while keeping the most successful parts of the 2021 model. You'll still get power doors, privacy glass, and rear defroster in all three trim levels, while the higher trim levels have a host of standard luxury features.
