2021 Ram 1500 Trim Levels
Congratulations! You’ve decided to purchase our new 2021 Ram 1500 and we’re excited to welcome you to the family! We want you to be as happy with your selection as we are and promise to make sure you get the specifications you need to help you in your daily life. Whether you’ll be using your Ram for heavy moving, long drives, to cart the family to and from soccer games, or to treat your significant other to a burger and shake at Doc’s Soda Fountain, you need dependability you can count on. Here are the focal points to consider when selecting a trim right for your needs and lifestyle.
Ram 1500 and Ram 1500 Classic
The two main versions of the Ram 1500 right now are the Ram 1500 and the Ram 1500 Classic editions. Both offer the high-quality product you are accustomed to in a Ram, but with a slight difference. The Ram 1500 Classic is the fourth generation, while the Ram 1500 is the fifth generation and updated version. It has a slightly larger interior cab, and an upgraded sleeker exterior design. The 1500 Classic is the more economical choice, while the Ram 1500 offers a style update for a smaller price increase.
Quad and Crew Cab
Depending on your needs and how you plan to use your Ram, you have the option of picking either a quad or crew cab for your new 2021 Ram 1500. While the crew cab gives you rear legroom, helpful if you have some teens piled in the back as you drive the family to Showtime Lanes Family Fun Center, the Quad offers more cargo space, perfect if you like to go fishing in Girard Sunset Lake. Review your needs to select the option that best fits your lifestyle.
2021 RAM Models
Big Horn Trim
Starting at $36,890, the Big Horn boasts 18-inch aluminum wheels, in-floor storage, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. This trim highlights the details with chrome front and rear bumpers, door handles, and a chrome grille. Because you want the shine to last, if your truck is going to haul lumber, take extra care when loading and unloading supplies.
The Tradesman starts at $32,245 and, like the Big Horn, comes with a standard 8-speed automatic with overdrive, and an auto-manual feature to help you maneuver your way out of a muddy hole or on slick surfaces. The Tradesman, which is built for function, is outfitted with 18-inch steel wheels and all-weather tires. The interior front seat is a 40/20/40 split bench to help get things in and out.
With a base MSRP of $46,020, the Rebel trim is all-wheel drive and has a tougher look, built for off-roading adventures. Blacked-out grilles, Kevlar tires, and tow hooks add to the rugged nature of this version. Additionally equipped with LED headlights, taillights, and fog lights, the Rebel is the perfect option if you plan on spending weekends off-roading at the Cliffs Insane Terrain Off-Road Park in Marseilles, a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Virden.
The Laramie is the luxury trim, and best suited for those who spend long hours driving, need a smooth ride, and prefer style over function. Although all trims are equal in excellence, the Laramie, starting at $41,440, has leather seating with front and rear heating. For the family that likes road trips, the trim features an infotainment input that supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This trim is ideal for keeping little ones quiet and happy during long drives or on the way to Dicarlo’s Pizza for some lunch.
The Limited is a fully equipped technological powerhouse compared to the others. If you are a techie, this is your trim. Starting at $56,250, it comes standard with a 12-inch touchscreen, Uconnect system version 12.0 infotainment system, and navigation. It also offers a 19-speaker upgrade option. This trim is also still compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This music-centered technology beast does not have blind-spot monitoring but does come with the highest towing capacity of all options: 8,420 pounds.
The Limited Longhorn focuses on interior features such as genuine leather seating, wood grain, and metal throughout the interior of the vehicle. Aluminum 20-inch wheels come standard, with side steps for easy access and safety when entering and exiting the truck. There are also front tow hooks, projector LED headlights, and a wireless charging pad. If you are driving the family to go camping, this trim can help you enjoy nature while also maintaining some creature comforts, such as charged phones. Starting MSRP for the Limited Longhorn trim is $52,280.
The TRX, more of a model than a trim, is an option for you if your main focus is a strong performance engine. The starting MSRP is $70,195 and the TRX has 15 exterior color options and 10 interior options. It is a 4×4 crew cab that can comfortably seat five individuals. For the automotive enthusiast, the Ram TRX has a 6.2L Supercharged Hemi V8 premium engine. Like the other options, this model has an eight-speed automatic transmission with over-drive and an auto manual option to drive stick shift. It is recognized as the 2021 Motor Trend “Truck of the Year” with 702 horsepower. The TRX logo is on the outside emblems and can be found on nearly everything on the interior as well.
